Solve Roundtable: LEARN

  • Bartos Theatre, MIT 20 Ames St Cambridge, MA, 02142 United States (map)

Introduction by Dr. Anant Agarwal, CEO, edX, and Dr. Eric Klopfer, Director, MIT Scheller Teacher Education Program

The LEARN roundtable will undertake the challenge of how to provide quality education to all people, anywhere in the world, who wish to learn. As the foundation of economic and social progress for all of us, the change imperative includes designing new models and modes of learning to reach those who do not have access to education, in the context of the economic, cultural, and political barriers. How can we teach, at scale, the essential skills for how to learn? How can we attract future teachers? How do we transform organizations to offer lifelong learning?

This event is hosted in conjunction with HUBweek and as part of Solve, which will hold its inaugural meeting on the MIT campus October 5-8, 2015. Solve aims to inspire extraordinary people to work together to solve the world’s greatest challenges in the context of four content pillars- Learn, Cure, Fuel, and Make- with a common purpose: to make the world a better place.
